Anderson University's men's soccer, volleyball, men's golf, men's tennis, women's tennis and women's soccer teams all kick off their seasons this weekend.
Men's Soccer Hosts Raven/Quaker Classic
Men's Soccer took home the 2024 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) tournament title, securing the program's first ever NCAA Tournament appearance and third ever conference tournament title. The Ravens tied for fourth in last season's HCAC standings, posting a 9-8-4 overall record and a 3-3-3 conference record. Drew Vaughn garnered second-team all-region honors and broke five school career records, including intercepts and defensive saves.
After graduating 11 seniors and five senior starters, the Ravens return 6-of-11 starters from last season, which include Jack Harris, Braydon Kennedy Emmett Kindler, Wesley Lewis, Noah Neu and Luke Weinman V. Senior Brendan Hall also returns to the Ravens after missing last season due to injury. The Ravens were selected fourth in the HCAC preseason poll. Anderson hosts Muskingum University and Beloit College in the Raven/Quaker Classic, taking on both teams at Fridley Field. The Ravens battle Muskingum on Friday at 5 p.m. and take on Beloit on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Volleyball Battles in Albion Tournament
Volleyball compiled a 17-9 overall record, putting together the program's highest winning percentage since 2006 and the program's highest win total since 2009. The Ravens finished sixth in the HCAC standings, qualifying for the HCAC Tournament with a 4-5 record. Volleyball was picked seventh in the HCAC preseason poll.
Anderson returns HCAC Newcomer of the Year Jayda Lanham, who lead the HCAC in service aces per set and ranked in the top 10 in the HCAC in two other statistical categories. Blythe Young returns after joining Lanham on the HCAC All-Newcomer Team last season. She dished out 10.72 assists per set, which ranked seventh in the nation. The Ravens also added nine freshmen to their roster. Anderson is set to compete in three matches during the Albion Tournament in Albion, Mich. The Ravens take on Elmhurst University on Friday at 5 p.m. On Saturday, Anderson battles Wisconsin Lutheran University at 2:30 p.m. and Albion College at 4:30 p.m.
Men's Golf Opens Season in Transylvania Fall Invitational
Men's Golf secured fifth in the HCAC Championships, earning the program's best finish since the 2010-11 season. Luke LeBourdais tied for 10th in the HCAC Championships, marking the program's best conference individual finish since the 2008-09 season. Anderson tied for third in the HCAC Preview, which is the program's best HCAC Preview finish since the Spring of 2009. After going 17 years without a tournament win, Anderson locked up first-place finishes in both the Beaver Fall Classic and the Anderson Spring Invitational.
Anderson returns 4-of-5 starters and 8-of-10 players from last year's roster. The Ravens bring back LeBourdais, Lawrence Long, John Mercer and Owen Mockabee from last year's starting lineup. Anderson also added six freshmen, boosting its starting roster to 14, which is the program's largest roster in more than a decade. The Ravens battle in the two-day Transylvania Fall Invitational at the University Club of Kentucky in Lexington, Ky.
Men's Tennis Faces Off with Adrian
Men's Tennis advanced to the 2025 HCAC Tournament Championship match. Anderson posted a 14-8 record and a 5-2 conference record to take third in the HCAC standings. Martin Suarez advanced to the consolation semifinals during the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regionals. The Ravens bring back 5-of-6 starters and 12-of-14 players from last year's roster. First-team all-HCAC selections Suarez and Arturo Mendoza return as well as All-HCAC Honorable Mention selection Pedro Sette. Luis Guerrero and Davis Borders round out Anderson's returning starters. Anderson starts the season with 19 players, the program's largest roster in more than a decade. Anderson faces off with Adrian College on Saturday at 12 p.m. at Anderson High School.
Women's Tennis Takes on Adrian
Women's Tennis finished fourth in the HCAC standings and qualified for the HCAC Tournament after putting together a 10-12 overall record and a 4-3 conference record. The Ravens return 5-of-6 starters and 7-of-10 players from last year's roster. Anderson's three first-team all-HCAC selections Abby Cunningham, Gabby Hosier and Ella Frantz all return from last season. Cunningham and Hosier posted the two highest single-season singles wins totals in program history last season, finishing with 19 and 18, respectively. The Ravens also bring back Paula Torrent and Ella Maiden from the starting lineup. Anderson takes on Adrian College on Saturday at 12 p.m. at Anderson High School.
Women's Soccer Kicks Off Season with Olivet
Women's Soccer qualified for the HCAC Tournament and tied for fifth in the HCAC standings with a 7-8-3 overall record and a 4-5-1 conference record. Anderson was selected to finish sixth in the HCAC preseason poll. After graduating four senior starters, the Ravens bring back 7-of-11 starters from last season. Second-team all-HCAC selection Emily Wilusz and all-HCAC Honorable Mention recipient Adrienne Weyers both return from last season. Rebekah Fannin, Meghan Foster, Grace Mangino, Hannah Thompson and Paige Tomallo rounded out the returners from last year's starting lineup. The Ravens kick off the season with The University of Olivet on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Olivet, Mich.
