The Anderson University women’s golf team captured fourth place in the three-day Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships, which concluded on Sunday in Anderson.
The Anderson University women’s golf team is set to host the three-day 54-hole Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships, beginning on Friday at Anderson Country Club.
Women’s Golf, Men’s Golf and Baseball each competed on Sunday.
Seven Anderson University athletic teams competed on Saturday. The day was highlighted by Men’s Track & Field capturing third in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Outdoor Championships. Michael Sweigart was named the HCAC Men’s Throws Athlete of the Meet and Chuck Foga was selected as the HCAC Men’s Assistant Coach of the Year.

During the Earlham Spring Invitational in Richmond, Women’s Golf secured third place and Men’s Golf finished ninth place.

Men’s Track & Field took 14th place in the team standings. In a battle for first place in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) standings, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (11-7, 5-0) topped the Anderson University men’s tennis team (8-8, 5-1) by a score of 6-1 during Saturday’s HCAC matchup at the Terre Haute Tennis & Pickleball Center in Terre Haute. After Day 1 of the Earlham Spring Invitational on Saturday in Richmond, Women's Golf sits in third place and Men's Golf sits in seventh place.

Track & Field senior Michael Sweigart won the hammer invitational during the two-day Polar Bear Classic in Marion. Men’s Tennis collected a 7-0 HCAC win against Franklin in Franklin. Women’s Tennis fought past Franklin 5-2 in HCAC action in Franklin. Second-ranked Trine University swept Softball by scores of 8-0 in six innings and 6-1 in Angola. After Day 1 of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate in Terre Haute, Women’s Golf sits in fourth place and Men’s Golf holds 11th.

Women’s Soccer captured a 1-0 victory against Earlham College in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action on Senior Day. Football fell to Mount St. Joseph University 41-21 in HCAC action. Mount St. Joseph University put together a sweep of Volleyball. In the Silver Division of the Louisville Classic, Women’s Cross Country finished 19th while Men’s Cross Country placed 21st. Earlham College handed Men’s Soccer a 2-1 loss.

Asbury University earned a four-set victory against Volleyball in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium. Kalamazoo College fought past Football 27-0 in a weather-affected contest in Kalamazoo, Mich. Spalding shut out Women’s Soccer 2-0 at Fridley Field. Men’s Cross Country and Women’s Cross Country both finished 11th place in the John McNichols Invitational in Terre Haute.
