Anderson posted a two-day score of 727 (+143).
Addy Gick and Hannah Emenhiser tied for first place with a two-day score of 169. Both fired identical rounds of 82 and 87 on the par-73 layout at Grandview Golf Course. Since Gick and Emenhiser tied on hole 1, the second tiebreaker was determined by scores on the second most difficult hole, hole 18. Gick held the better score and was named the tournament medalist. Both Gick and Emenhiser were named to the Anderson Spring Invitational all-tournament team.
The Ravens also celebrated Senior Day, recognizing their lone senior Emma Howe for her contributions to the program. Howe also competed in the last round of her career.
COACH MORGAN DOUGLASS'S COMMENTS
- I'm super proud of our team and how they played this weekend. Getting our second tournament win of the year was an awesome way to go into conference. A big shoutout to Addy Gick and Hannah Emenhiser on placing first and second, leading the way for our team! I'm looking forward to seeing how we carry this into next weekend.
- It was so much fun celebrating Emma Howe [on Saturday]. She has been a constant in our program for the last four years and I am continuously thankful for the fun and hardworking energy she brings to our team! We will for sure miss her next year, but can't wait to see what she does next!
STUDENT-ATHLETE COMMENTS
- Addy Gick – It was a little rough [on Saturday]. I started off pretty good, came on hole number 9 and hole number 9 was not the greatest. I got the same score on hole number 9 [Friday] as well. I had a couple of holes that were rough, but staying calm and keeping myself motivated knowing that I was trying to win it for the team was my biggest goal. Staying calm and having fun was what I focused on. Hannah and I tying for first was crazy. I've never had something like that happen in my career before. I love [Hannah] to death. She's amazing.
- Hannah Emenhiser – It started out very cold [on Saturday], so we had to push through that and wear some layers. Then [the weather] started to get better. My first nine was pretty good; I had some pars and some really good putts on the front. On the back, the putts got a little rough, so that's where I could have gotten a couple shots lower, but overall, I played really well with the wind and the conditions. We won as a team, so that's great. You can't beat that. Tying with Addy was really good. I had three putts where I missed by not even an inch that I probably should have made, but obviously, Addy had shots like that too. We tied and she finished really strong with the birdie, so she really deserves medalist, because she played really well.
- Emma Howe – It was a little cold, but we had a good day that was a lot of fun. I didn't play my best, but I finished. Saturday as a whole was a great way to end my college career and I'm just super thankful we were able to have a home tournament. I appreciate all the things everyone did for Senior Day.
