Baseball Splits with Bluffton
The Anderson University baseball team (11-8-1, 3-1) split Sunday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) doubleheader with Bluffton University (6-10, 1-3) in Bluffton, Ohio. Bluffton fought past Anderson 5-3 in Game 1. The Ravens then topped the Beavers 5-3 in Game 2.
Anderson outhit Bluffton 9-7 in Game 1. Daniel Barreca went 3-for-4 while Trey Dorton finished 2-for-3. Griffin Wolf drove in two runs and Will Loftus contributed a double. Dorton and Landon Gum each stole two bases. Rex Richter started Game 1 and received a no decision. He struck out seven batters, issued three walks and allowed one run on five hits in five and two-thirds innings. Sean Rose (0-1) suffered the loss.
Kyan Miller (1-2) secured the win in Game 2. He punched out seven batters, yielded two walks and gave up one run on five hits in five and one-third innings of relief. Drew Doty picked up his first save of the season after allowing zero runs and one hit in two-thirds of an inning. Carter Knoblauch fanned four batters, yielded one walk and conceded two unearned runs on four hits in three innings. Bluffton outhit Anderson 10-9. Gum went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Kellan Bailey drove in two runs.
The Ravens go head-to-head with Wabash College (5-11) in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Don Brandon Field.

Men's Golf Places 10th in Great Lakes Intercollegiate
The Anderson University men's golf team placed 11th in the two-day Great Lakes Intercollegiate, which concluded on Sunday in Terre Haute. Anderson put together a 36-hole team score of 612 (+44), behind rounds of 310 (+26) and 302 (+18). John Mercer tied for 25th place with a 149 (+7). The sophomore from Indianapolis fired rounds of 76 and 73 on the par-71 layout at The Country Club of Terre Haute. Anderson returns to action in the two-day Polar Beaver Invitational. Round 1 takes place on Friday, April 3 at Hidden Creek Golf Course in Lima, Ohio and Round 2 is scheduled for Saturday, April 4 at Colonial Golfers Club in Harrod, Ohio.
Women's Golf Finishes Fourth in Great Lakes Intercollegiate
The Anderson University women's golf team finished fourth place in the two-day Great Lakes Intercollegiate, which concluded on Sunday in Terre Haute. Anderson recorded a 36-hole team score of 741 (+165), behind rounds of 367 (+79) and 374 (+86). Hannah Emenhiser tied for eighth place with a 174 (+30). The junior from Whiteland carded rounds of 89 and 85 on the par-72 layout at The Country Club of Terre Haute. Anderson (0-0) challenges Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (0-0) in a dual on Sunday, March 29 at 2 p.m. at Anderson Country Club.
