Baseball Sweeps Franklin, Dorton Tallies 200th Career Hit
The Anderson University baseball team swept Franklin College during Saturday’s Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) doubleheader at Don Brandon Field.

Anderson (17-11-1, 8-4) topped Franklin (14-13, 4-8) by a score of 4-2 in both games.
Senior Trey Dorton tallied the 200th hit of his career.
GAME 1: ANDERSON 4, FRANKLIN 2
During the top of the first inning, Davis Wagner drove in Garrett DeHart on a groundout to put Franklin on the board.
In the bottom of the first, Jon Dorsch knocked in a run with an RBI single for the Ravens. Zayden Stiller belted a two-run single to put the Ravens ahead 3-1.
After tripling earlier in the inning, Stiller scored on a wild pitch to add another run.
Dyllan Redmon contributed an RBI single for the Grizzlies in the sixth.
Rhet Heckman (5-1) secured the win for the Ravens. He struck out two batters, issued two walks and allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits in eight and one-third innings. Carter Knoblauch picked up his second save of the season. He punched out one batter and yielded one walk in two thirds of an inning.
Chase Wagner (3-1) suffered the loss for the Grizzlies. He fanned nine batters, issued three walks and conceded four runs (one earned) on three hits in eight innings.
Franklin outhit Anderson 5-3. Stiller went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBI. Dorsch added an RBI single to round out Anderson's three hits.
Kam Seitz finished 2-for-4. Drew Helton produced a double. Redmon and Wagner turned in singles to round out Franklin's five hits.
GAME 2: ANDERSON 4, FRANKLIN 2
In the bottom of the first, Griffin Wolf cracked a run-scoring single. Dylan Hogan drove in Dorton on a groundout. Landon Gum singled and Wolf scored on an error on the same play to put Anderson ahead 3-0.
Nic Deering trimmed Franklin's deficit to two in the second with an RBI single.
In the sixth, Hogan smashed a solo home run to put Anderson ahead 4-1.
Drew Helton drew a bases-loaded walk for the Grizzlies in the seventh.
Braden Richey (4-3) claimed the win. He punched out four batters, yielded three walks and gave up two runs on five hits in six and two-thirds innings. Kyan Miller recorded his first save of the season. He struck out three batters, issued one walk and conceded zero runs on zero hits in two and one-third innings.
Caden Wilburn (1-4) was tagged with the loss. He fanned four batters, issued two walks and surrendered four runs (three earned) on six hits in six innings. Luke Harmon struck out three batters, yielded two walks and gave up zero runs on zero hits in two innings.
Anderson outhit Franklin 6-5. Wolf and Gum each went 2-for-3. Hogan contributed a solo homer and two total RBI. Dorton rounded out Anderson's six hits with a single.
Redmon went 2-for-4 while Helton, Wagner and Deering rounded out Franklin's five hits with singles.
