Women's Soccer Coasts Past Manchester
The Anderson University women's soccer team (5-3-3, 2-0-1) coasted past Manchester University (1-9-1, 0-3) by a score of 3-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action on Wednesday in North Manchester.
Anderson controlled 69 percent of the total possession and spent 80 percent of its possession in the attacking half. The Ravens outshot the Spartans 18-1 and held an 11-0 advantage in shots on goal. Emily Metzger and Kyndall Ferguson each netted goals while Cait Knepp and Kennedy Hurst each provided assists. Anderson's third goal was a product of an own goal. Adrienne Weyers, Jada Van Steenvoort and River Grabowski put together a combined shutout. Ferguson contributed four shots and two shots on goal. Metzger put each of her three shots on frame while Hurst tallied three shots and two shots on goal. Marta Stender put both of her shots on target. Caroline Hill turned in two shots and one shot on goal, Knepp added two shots and Ava Bellaver placed her only shot on frame.
Anderson faces off with Franklin College (1-9-1, 0-3) on Homecoming Saturday in HCAC action on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Fridley Field.

Men's Soccer Battles to Defensive Draw with Manchester
The Anderson University men's soccer team (5-4-4, 0-1-2) battled Manchester University (2-5-4, 1-1-1) to a 0-0 draw in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) action on Wednesday in Fridley Field. Anderson outshot Manchester 16-7 and held a 3-0 advantage in shots on goal. The Ravens controlled 54 percent of the possession. Ashton Kuss notched four shots while Wesley Lewis tallied three shots.
