Women’s Soccer Drops Double Overtime Heartbreaker to Hanover in HCAC Tournament Quarterfinals
The fifth-seeded Anderson University women’s soccer team dropped a 1-0 double overtime heartbreaker to fourth-seeded Hanover College during the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament Quarterfinals on Saturday in Hanover.

The fifth-seeded Anderson University women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 double overtime heartbreaker to fourth-seeded Hanover College during the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament Quarterfinals on Saturday in Hanover.
With 20 seconds left in double overtime, Hanover's Izzy Phillips fired a shot, which struck the crossbar. Hanover's Cam Horsley rebounded the shot and finished the goal with 17 seconds remaining. Phillips received the assist. The Panthers (8-6-4) outshot the Ravens (8-6-4) by an 18-4 margin and held a 9-3 advantage in shots on goal.
Adrienne Weyers served 108 minutes, 27 seconds in goal and saved each of the eight shots she faced. Kyndall Ferguson, Paige Tomallo and Caroline Hill each registered shots on goal while Jessica Rogozinski added a shot. Senior defender Meghan Foster, who has started every contest of her career, picked up her 71st career start, which puts her fourth in Anderson school history.
