Women's Soccer Took Down Bluffton University 2-0 in HCAC action in Bluffton, Ohio. Volleyball Fell to Earlham in four sets in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.

Men's Soccer Shuts Out Bluffton in Home Night Debut

The Anderson University men's soccer team shut out Bluffton University 1-0 during Wednesday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup at Fridley Field.

Anderson celebrated Fridley Field's first varsity match under the lights. The Ravens also celebrated Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day.

Wesley Lewis broke the tie by netting a goal in the 76th minute. He finished the through ball from Jackson Crawford who received the assist. Lewis was named The Raven's Raven.

The Ravens (7-4-4, 2-1-2) outshot the Beavers (4-8-1, 2-3) by a 28-13 margin and held a 13-4 advantage in shots on goal. Braydon Kennedy recorded a four-save shutout. Lewis tallied seven shots and four shots on goal. Miles Tucker notched eight shots and three shots on goal. Brendan Hall contributed three shots and two shots on goal. Xander Mays and Luke Weinman V each provided two shots and one shot on goal. Emmett Kindler turned in two shots. Cohen Wintin and Andon Colclazier each put their only shot on frame. Jack Harris and Marek Bollinger each added a shot to round out Anderson's 28 shots.

Anderon battles Berea College (1-9-3, 0-4-1) in HCAC action on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in Berea, Ky.

Women's Soccer Takes Down Bluffton

The Anderson University women's soccer team took down Bluffton University 2-0 during Wednesday's HCAC matchup in Bluffton, Ohio.

Anderson (7-3-3, 4-0-1) outshot Bluffton (5-9, 0-5) by a 32-12 margin and held a 19-6 advantage in shots on goal. Emily Metzger and Natalie Marcum produced goals while Kennedy Hurst dished out an assist. Adrienne Weyers posted a six-save shutout. Metzger notched 11 shots, which ranks in the top 10 in school history for most shots in a game. Meghan Foster recorded her 66th career start, which ranks ninth in school history.

Metzger registered nine shots on goal. Hurst contributed five shots and two shots on goal. Foster and Mailee Cornette each tallied three shots and two shots on goal. Marcum put both of her shots on frame. Rebekah Fannin turned in two shots and one shot on goal. Cait Knepp produced two shots and Caroline Hill added one shot on goal.

Anderson battles Berea College (8-6-1, 2-3) in HCAC action on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Berea, Ky.

Volleyball Falls to Earlham

The Anderson University volleyball team (8-9, 0-3) fell to Earlham College (15-6, 3-0) by a score of 25-15, 25-18, 22-25, 25-17 during Wednesday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium. Earlham powered to a .294 hitting percentage and Anderson put together a .134 hitting percentage. Jayda Lanham racked up 17 kills, 21 digs, 28 receptions and three service aces. Blythe Young dished out 45 assists. The Ravens take on Manchester University (10-8, 1-1) in HCAC action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.
