Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology edged the Anderson University men's soccer team 1-0 during Wednesday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup at Fridley Field.
Connor Patton contributed a goal for the Fightin' Engineers (7-3-1, 3-0) in the 80th minute. Rose-Hulman outshot Anderson (7-4-2, 0-2-1) by a 12-6 margin and held a 4-1 advantage in shots on goal.
Emmett Kindler tallied two shots. Brendan Hall put his only shot on frame. Drew Vaughn, Dalton Grubbs and Iley McQuiddy each added shots. Blake Bobrow saved three of four shots.
Anderson battles Transylvania University (1-6-3, 0-3) in HCAC action on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in Lexington, Ky.
