The Anderson University men's soccer team fought to a 0-0 draw with Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology during Wednesday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in Terre Haute.
Anderson (8-4-5, 3-1-3) outshot Rose-Hulman (7-4-4, 2-2-3) by an 11-7 margin. Both teams each registered two shots on goal. Ashton Kuss was named The Raven's Raven. The sophomore from Monroe, Ohio led the Ravens with nine intercepts. Noah Neu and Carson Reed each shared the team lead with three steals. Braydon Kennedy recorded a two-save shutout. Luke Weinman V tallied three shots and one shot on goal. Wesley Lewis contributed two shots and one shot on goal. Brendan Hall, Jack Harris, Kuss, Xander Mays, Reed and Miles Tucker each added shots.
"I am proud of the boys and how they played," Coach Scott Fridley said. "Leaving there with a point is important, but playing consistently for 90 minutes is the standard we are trying to achieve. I'm proud of these boys."
Anderson hosts Transylvania University (11-2-2, 7-0) on Senior Day in HCAC action on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Fridley Field.
