Williams Provides Goal against (RV) Stormy Petrels

Anderson University men's soccer senior Race Williams (Fishers, Ind./Heritage Christian) provided a goal against Oglethorpe University during the 15th minute of Friday's matchup in Atlanta.
 
Oglethorpe (5-2) put together a 7-1 victory against the Ravens (3-5). The Stormy Petrels are receiving votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll.
 
Abraham Lopez compiled a hat trick while Gabe Alvarez finished with two goals and an assist for five points. Alec Leake and Josh Bronstorph also scored goals. Tuli Mwarumba tallied two assists while Ben Agnew and James Williams also dished out assists.
 
Race Williams (Fishers, Ind./Heritage Christian) and Antony Rodriguez (Lawrence, Ind./Lawrence North) registered Anderson's shots on goals. Derek Thorpe (Cicero, Ind./Hamilton Heights) and Race Williams (Fishers, Ind./Heritage Christian) notched two shots apiece while R.J. Macomber (Marion, Ind./Marion), Grant Conklin (Lewisburg, Ohio/Troy Christian), Daniel Collins (Jamestown, Ind./Western Boone) and Rodriguez added shots.
 
Jackson Etheridge (Finneytown, Ohio/St. Xavier) served as Anderson's goalkeeper for the final 29 minutes, 7 seconds and saved three of the four shots he faced. Caleb Oliver (Marion, Ind./Marion) started at goalkeeper for the Ravens. He saw 11 shots came up with five saves.
 
The Stormy Petrels outshot the Ravens 29-8 and held a 15-2 advantage in shots on goal.
 
Anderson rounds out its Georgia trip by clashing with Berry College (4-3-1) on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Mount Berry, Ga.
