Rose-Hulman Edges Men’s Soccer in HCAC Tournament Quarterfinals
Third-seeded Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology edged the sixth-seeded Anderson University men’s soccer team 1-0 during the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament Quarterfinal on Saturday in Terre Haute.

Third-seeded Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology edged the sixth-seeded Anderson University men's soccer team 1-0 during the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament Quarterfinal on Saturday in Terre Haute.
Evan Lipsky found the back of the net with less than 13 minutes to go to put Rose-Hulman (10-4-4) on the board. The Ravens (8-7-5) outshot the Fightin' Engineers 10-5 and held a q5-2 advantage in shots on goal. Luke Weinman V contributed three shots and two shots on goal. Jack Harris finished with two shots and one shot on goal. Ashton Kuss tallied two shots. Wesley Lewis and Miles Tucker each put their only shot on frame while Brendan Hall added a shot. Braydon Kennedy saved one of two shots.
"I'm very proud of the boys," Coach Scott Fridley said. "They fought hard and I thought we were going to pull it out. Our game is not always a fair one, but as all year long, we weren't able to out the ball in the net. It was a fall we can grow from. We will miss [seniors] Brendan Hall and Daniel Karlen; I want to thank them for all of their time at AU."
