AU MEN’S SOCCER
2000 & 2004 HCAC Regular Season Champions
We are looking for players that consider themselves scholar-athletes that will put forth the effort in the classroom and on the field. We want team players that believe in their teammates first, play with pride and work hard.
Coach Fridley just ended his 29th year in the program and 26th as head coach. He currently holds a career Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) record of 97-65-14. Expectations are high once again to be competitive in the Great Lakes Region as well as in the 10-team HCAC which has an automatic NCAA tournament bid on the line for the four-team postseason tournament champion.

The soccer team has made nine European tours, which have featured the countries of Germany, Holland, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, England, Ireland, Scotland, Italy and Spain. On these tours we have competed against club teams from Amsterdam FC to Kilmarnock to Queens Park Rangers as well as seeing several historical sites such as Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower, The Coliseum, Dachau, The Pantheon, The Vatican, Cliffs of Dublin, Edinburgh Castle, Westminster Abbey, Pompeii, the Hitler grounds and Anne Frank’s house on top of many other castles and museums. The team has toured several prominent European soccer teams’ stadiums, gotten to watch training sessions as well as seeing opening day games of Manchester United in 2007 and Chelsea in 2010. In 2013 we saw games including Manchester United, Everton, and Bolton. In 2019, the men's soccer team had the opportunity to travel to several beautiful destinations including Rome, the Vatican City, Madrid, Barcelona and much more! After visiting the beautiful Camp Nou Stadium, the Ravens were able to compete in a 15,000-seat Olympic Stadium.
Anderson University summer camps take place in July. You can click on the Anderson Soccer Camps link for more information. This is the 26th year for Anderson University Summer Camps. Coach Fridley is also in his 16th year of hosting high-school camps. We currently train 23 teams in the summer.
