Women’s Basketball Rolls Past Spartans, Williamson Sets Career High

The Anderson University women's basketball team rolled past Manchester University 71-57 during Wednesday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.
Paige Williamson racked up a career-high 20 points. The sophomore from Parkway, Ohio drained 6-of-11 (54.5 percent) shots from 3-point range.
Anderson (13-8, 9-5) knocked down 10-of-25 (40 percent) shots from the perimeter while Manchester (9-12, 5-9) hit 3-of-23 (13.0 percent) attempts from behind the arc. The Ravens turned the ball over 24 times while the Spartans committed 21 turnovers.
Izzy Davis provided 12 points and three assists. Bella Larrison contributed 10 points and six steals. Sydney Sierota contributed 10 points and three steals. Victoria Detraz produced 12 rebounds and four points. Lauren Smith tallied eight points and one block. Williamson and Kylie Hendrickson each pulled down five rebounds. Ashley Pate turned in three points and one block. Preslei Copper recorded two points and one block while Miranda Wozniak scored two points.
Anderson battles Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (6-15, 5-9) on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Terre Haute.
