Football Retains The Bronze Ball
The Anderson University football team (2-8, 1-5) captured a 26-20 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) victory against Manchester University (0-10, 0-6) to retain The Bronze Ball on Saturday in North Manchester.
Anderson is the first repeat winner of The Bronze Ball since 2018; The Bronze Ball has changed hands the previous six meetings. The Ravens forced four turnovers while the Spartans only caused one. Manchester held a 430-341 advantage in total offense.
Zaire Prioleau picked off three passes, recording the 12th three-plus interception game in school history. Travis Billups Jr. intercepted a pass and returned it for 39 yards. Gavin Reners recorded eight tackles, two sacks, two tackles for loss, three quarterback hurries and one pass breakup. Billups Jr. provided seven tackles and a pass breakup. Khem Harris and Kevin Thomas each turned in tackles for loss while Elie Mongengo added a pass breakup. Jaylen Hayes racked up four quarterback hurries while Jake Simpson, Kam Crawford and DeMarco Cooley each turned in quarterback hurries.
Caleb Foor completed 16-of-26 (61.5 percent) passes, throwing for 242 yards and three touchdowns. Cam Herron tallied three receptions, 138 receiving yards and two reception touchdowns. Albert Rabb rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown. Corey Layton converted 2-of-3 extra-point attempts. Adam Dunson provided three receptions, 43 receiving yards and a reception touchdown. Preston Yoder contributed five receptions for 36 receiving yards.
"I am proud of the team and how they poured out everything they had for each other and for our team," Coach Jonathan Coddington said. "It was a great way to finish off the 2025 season and we look forward to building off of it in the offseason as we begin building for 2026. I am thankful for each member of our team and I am excited to continue to build and see the development that is made in the coming year."

Spalding Fights Past Women's Basketball
Spalding University (3-1) fought past the Anderson University women's basketball team (0-2) by a score of 73-68 on Saturday in Louisville, Ky. The Eagles converted 10-of-29 (34.5 percent) shots from 3-point range while the Ravens were held to a 3-of-20 (15 percent) shooting effort from the perimeter. Spalding outrebound Anderson 65-46. The Eagles held a 24-18 advantage on offensive rebounds and outscored the Ravens 23-11 on second-chance points. Sydney Sierota filled the stat sheet with 20 points, six steals, eight rebounds and four assists. Izzy Davis provided 17 points, three steals and three assists. Bella Larrison posted 10 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and three assists. Victoria Detraz notched 11 rebounds and four blocks. Anderson is set to battle in the two-day Melissa Johnson/HOPE Classic hosted by Earlham College, which begins on Friday, Nov. 21 in Richmond. The Ravens face off with Albion College (3-0) on Friday at 5 p.m. Anderson goes head-to-head with Principia College (2-0) on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Women's Cross Country Places 35th in NCAA D-III Great Lakes Regional
The Anderson University women's cross country team placed 35th in the NCAA D-III Great Lakes Regional on Saturday at Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky. Hattie Harlow captured 148th with a 6K personal-record (PR) time of 25 minutes, 19.75 seconds to lead the Ravens. Anna Walpole secured 178th with a time of 26:02.43. Madison Merder took 224th after clocking a PR time 27:35.50. Sadie Knox came in 239th with a season-best time of (28:48.34). The junior from Pinnacle, N.C. was named the Anderson XCTF Performer of the Meet. Jade Witt earned 241st (28:55.41), Lyvia Salo claimed 242nd (28:55.87) and Jasmyn Benjamin finished 254th (30:59.35).
Men's Cross Country Finishes 36th in NCAA D-III Great Lakes Regional
The Anderson University men's cross country finished 36th place in the NCAA D-III Great Lakes Regional on Saturday at Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky. Johnnie Behrends locked up 182nd with an 8K time of 28 minutes, 19.53 seconds to lead the Ravens. Cole Koontz captured 210th with a personal-record (PR) time of 28:58.01. The freshman from Warsaw was named the Anderson XCTF Performer of the Meet. David Stansbury came in 226th (29:17.77), Kyle Corbin took 227th (29:18.99) and Ryan Krake earned 247th (30:36.91). Maxwell Cobb secured 258th with a PR time of 31:23.94.
"The teams gave their best effort," Coach Nic Huffman said. "That's all I can ask for. Some had a tough day and others had a great day. That's the way she goes. The weather was really good, which is unusual for the middle of November. The freshman class had a big day. With a young team, I'm really excited to see what we can accomplish moving forward. I want to thank the seniors for all they have done for their teammates and the program the past four years. They have made a huge impact. Now we take a break to heal and get ready for track season."
