Women's Basketball Charges Past Manchester
The Anderson University women's basketball team (8-7, 4-4) charged past Manchester University (7-7, 3-5) by a score of 92-81 during Wednesday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in North Manchester. Anderson held a 45-32 rebounding advantage against the Spartans. Bella Larrison contributed 22 points and eight rebounds. Sydney Sierota provided 16 points and three steals. Paige Williamson added 16 points while Izzy Davis contributed 12 points and five assists. Victoria Detraz pulled down 11 rebounds and Ashley Pate collected eight rebounds. Anderson hosts Earlham College in HCAC action on Saturday at 1 p.m. in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.

Men's Basketball Surges Past Manchester
The Anderson University men's basketball team (8-7, 6-2) surged past Manchester University (2-13, 2-6) by a score of 103-79 during Wednesday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) matchup in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium. Anderson started the game on a 17-0 run. The Spartans did not score until there were 14 minutes, 17 seconds remaining in the first half. Anderson drained 41-of-76 (53.9 percent) shots from the field while Manchester converted 28-of-63 (44.4 percent) attempts from the floor. Nolan Swan provided 14 points and seven assists. The sophomore from Tipton hit 4-of-6 (66.7 percent) shots from 3-point range. DeMonte Ferguson recorded 14 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks. Bryce Williams provided 13 points and eight assists.
"I'm pleased with the effort to start off the game [on Wednesday] - I thought we showed professionalism and poise," Coach Carter Collins said. "We still need to work on really putting a stranglehold on games when we get an opportunity to do so - too often we allow teams to stick around, and that will end up costing us down the road if we allow it to continue."
Anderson, Hanover College (10-5, 6-2) and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (9-6, 6-2) are each tied for first in the HCAC standings. The Ravens take on Earlham College (1-14, 0-8) in HCAC action on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Richmond.
