Men’s Basketball Halts Franklin
In a rematch of the 2025 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament Championship, the Anderson University men’s basketball team halted Franklin College 69-54 during Wednesday’s HCAC matchup in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.

The Ravens (3-4, 1-0) converted 27-of-65 (41.5 percent) shots from the field while the Grizzlies (3-3, 0-1) were held to 21-of-77 (27.3 percent) shooting from the floor. Anderson knocked down 11-of-32 (34.4 percent) attempts from 3-point range while Franklin made 8-of-36 (22.2 percent) shots from the perimeter. The Ravens outrebounded the Grizzlies 51-44. Rob Davidson dominated the glass by pulling down 18 rebounds for the Ravens.
"I'm pleased with [Wednesday's] result," Coach Carter Collins said. "I sure don't know what we were doing on offense for some of those possessions, but the defense was pretty solid throughout the night, and I thought we stepped up on the glass in the second half. Rob Davidson was a man on the boards with 18 rebounds. We're looking forward to heading down to Berea on Saturday to get a tough road win."
Davidson provided 13 points, four steals and one block. Kenney Troutman scored 17 points. Elijah Mattingly provided 11 points, seven rebounds and one block. Will Jamison produced nine points. Nolan Swan tallied six points, seven rebounds and one block. Bryce Williams contributed seven assists, five points and three steals. DeMonte Ferguson recorded three points, five rebounds and three blocks. Cole Duncan turned in two points and one block. Axel Laby added two points while Brevon Burns rounded out Anderson's scoring with one point.
Anderson challenges Berea College (4-2, 1-0) in HCAC action on Saturday at 4 p.m. in Berea, Ky.
