The third-seeded women’s basketball team faces off with second-seeded Franklin College at 3 p.m. while the second-seeded men’s basketball team clashes with third-seeded Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at 7 p.m. Anderson’s track and field teams battle in the HCAC Championships on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Cincinnati.

Women's Basketball Faces Off with Franklin
The third-seeded Anderson University women's basketball team (17-9) faces off with second-seeded Franklin College (20-6) in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament semifinals on Friday at 3 p.m. in Lexington, Ky. Top-seeded Transylvania University (22-4) battles fifth-seeded Mount St. Joseph University (14-12) in the first semifinal on Friday at 1 p.m. The winners of the two semifinals clash in the HCAC Tournament Championship on Saturday at 3 p.m.
Anderson suffered a 78-67 road loss to Franklin on Dec. 3, 2025 in Franklin. The Ravens then powered to a 101-86 home victory on Jan. 21 in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium. Anderson split its season series with Transylvania and came up with a season sweep of Mount St. Joseph.
Bella Larrison garnered first-team all-HCAC honors for the Ravens. The senior from Waldron has provided 12.9 points per game for the Ravens, which ranks 12th in the conference. Larrison has also contributed 8.4 rebounds per game and 1.7 steals per game. Sydney Sierota received second-team all-HCAC recognition. The senior from Sellersburg has recorded 3.1 steals per game, which leads the conference and ranks 36th in the nation. Sierota has also dished out 4.3 assists per game, which ranks second in the HCAC and 44th in the nation. Sierota ranks 17th in the conference in scoring with 11.4 points per game. She has also contributed six rebounds per game and a 1.15 assist-turnover ratio.
Izzy Davis received all-HCAC Honorable Mention. The senior from Indianapolis has provided 13.8 points per game, which leads the Ravens and rank 10th in the HCAC. Davis has dished out 4.0 assists per game, which ranks third in the conference. She has also put together a 1.19 assist-turnover ratio. Paige Willamson has produced 10.4 points per game. The sophomore from Rockford, Ohio has drained 66-of-192 (34.4 percent) shots from 3-point range, which averages 2.54 3-pointers made per game. Williamson leads the conference in both 3-pointers made per game and 3-point field-goal percentage. She ranks 27th in the nation in 3-pointers made per game. Victoria Detraz has contributed averages of 9.5 points, 10.7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks. The junior from Valparaiso ranks third in the HCAC in rebounds per game and fourth in the HCAC in blocks per game. Detraz also ranks 40th in the nation in rebounds per game. Lauren Smith has tallied 7.9 points per game. Ashley Pate was named to the HCAC All-Newcomer Team after turning in averages of 4.5 points, 0.8 assists, 0.6 steals and 2.8 rebounds.
Men's Basketball Clashes with Rose-Hulman
The second-seeded Anderson University men's basketball team (17-9) clashes with third-seeded Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (17-9) in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Tournament semifinals on Friday at 7 p.m. in Lexington, Ky. Top-seeded Transylvania University (18-8) takes on fifth-seeded Franklin College (16-10) in the first semifinal on Friday at 5 p.m. The winners of the two semifinals clash in the HCAC Tournament Championship on Saturday at 6 p.m.
Rose-Hulman squeaked out a 70-69 road victory against Anderson on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025 in O.C. Lewis Gymnasium. The Ravens then went on the road to Terre Haute and took down Rose-Hulman 78-70 on Feb. 7.
Kenney Troutman garnered first-team all-HCAC honors. The senior Ben Davis graduate has knocked down 3.28 3-pointers per game, which ranks first in the HCAC and seventh in the nation. Among HCAC leaders, Troutman ranks seventh in points per game (15.8), second in 3-point field-goal percentage (.396, 82-for-207), fifth in field-goal percentage (.466, 139-for-298). Elijah Mattingly earned second-team all-HCAC recognition. The senior from Beech Grove tied his single-game conference record of 21 rebounds. Mattingly has scored 11.38 points per game, which ranks 19th in the conference. He has pulled down 10 rebounds per game, which ranks 28th in the nation and second in the HCAC. Mattingly has blocked 1.25 shots per game, which ranks third in the nation. He has also contributed averages of 2.71 assists and 1.1 steals.
Bryce Williams second-team all-HCAC honors. The junior from Fishers has dished out 4.88 assists per game, which ranks 44th in the nation and second in the HCAC. Among HCAC leaders, Williams ranks 15th in scoring (12.92), second in assist-turnover ratio (2.07, 122 Assists, 59 Turnovers) and fourth in steals per game (1.72). Williams has turned in 4.3 rebounds per game. Nolan Swan received all-HCAC Honorable Mention. The sophomore from Tipton ranks 15th in the conference in scoring with 12.89 points per game. Swan has hit 66-for-182 shots from 3-point range for a .363 3-point field-goal percentage, which ranks third in the HCAC. He has also produced averages of 2.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 3.5 rebounds. DeMonte Ferguson has contributed averages of 8.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 0.7 blocks. Rob Davidson has tallied 8.6 points per game. Will Jamison has scored 5.3 points per game and Cedric Anderson has added 3.0 points per game.
Track & Field Battles in HCAC Indoor Championships
The Anderson University track and field team battles in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Indoor Championships on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Cincinnati.
Anderson's men were picked for seventh place in the HCAC preseason poll and Anderson's women were selected to tie for ninth in the HCAC preseason poll.
On the men's side, Anderson is fielding a distance medley relay team of Kyle Corbin, Ryan Krake, Caleb Savage and David Stansbury, which is seeded first with a time of 11 minutes, 46.98 seconds. Qi'Yam Simmons is seeded second in the shot put (14.71 meters) and seventh in the weight throw (14.51 meters). Hunter Isaacs holds a No. 4 seed in the pole vault (4.05 meters). Isaiah Buchanan is seeded fifth in the shot put (13.75 meters) and eighth in the weight throw (14.26 meters). Kaleb Eldridge holds a No. 5 seed in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.82 seconds. Connor Etchison is seeded sixth in the shot put (13.59 meters). Garrett Isaacs hold a No. 7 seed in the pole vault (3.75 meters). Anderson is fielding a 4x400 relay of Elijah Stires, Johnnie Behrends, Savage and Dillon Pratt, which is seeded seventh with a time of 3:39.63. The Ravens are also fielding a 4x200 relay of Myles Davis, Stires Eldridge and Pratt, which holds a No. 8 seed with a time 1:37.40.
On the women's side, Lai'Lonie Waller-Thomas is seeded first in the weight throw (16.27 meters) and eighth in the shot put (11.10 meters). Katie Ripberger holds a No. 4 seed in the 60 hurdles (9.98). Anderson is fielding a 4x400 relay of Ripberger, Andrea Diaz, Naomi Hoover and Hattie Harlow, which is seeded sixth with a time of 4:36.60.
