Men’s Basketball Picked as Favorite in HCAC Preseason Poll

The Anderson University men's basketball team was picked as the favorite in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Preseason Poll, which was announced on Tuesday.

Anderson has earned a share of the last three regular-season HCAC titles, including outright titles in the last two years. The Ravens then advanced to the HCAC Tournament Championship. Anderson garnered 78 points, including seven first-place votes. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology came in second with 72 points and the remaining three first-place votes. Hanover College was selected third with 62 points, finishing ahead of Transylvania University (56), Franklin College (46), Mount St. Joseph University (43), Berea College (36), Bluffton University (27), Manchester University (20) and Earlham College (10) to round out the preseason poll.

Anderson (0-2) challenges DePauw University (1-1) on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Greencastle.
