Anderson University Head Coach Carter Collins has announced seven additions to the men's basketball program for the 2024-25 season.
Elisha Moore joins the Raven men's basketball squad as a transfer while Josiah Cox, Cole Duncan, Josiah Marshall, Jacob Scruggs, Nolan Swan and Connor Todhunter-Dawson each join the Anderson men's basketball team as members of the 2028 graduating class.
"I'm extremely excited about the guys we've added this offseason," Collins says. "Expectations are pretty high in our program right now, and I feel these guys are all up to the task, IF they are willing to work hard during their time on campus. The incoming freshman class is certainly talented, and we were able to add some college basketball experience to our roster, as well. I can't wait to coach these guys and watch them grow and develop as men and as basketball players."
Elisha Moore, Transfer, 5'11" Guard, Ohio Christian University
"Elisha is a very experienced college basketball player, playing 30 minutes per game for Ohio Christian last season. He carries an elite 3PT%, assist/turnover ratio, and has a reputation as a stout defender. Elisha will certainly help us on the court, but he will also be adding a ton to our campus community - Elisha carries a near perfect GPA, and he's one of the only transfers in the history of the University to be admitted into the prestigious Honors Program."
Josiah Cox, Freshman, 6'1" Guard, Tri High School (Straughn)
"Josiah lit up the scoreboard for the Tri Titans last season, averaging more than 20 PPG and leading the squad to its most successful season in many years. Josiah is an extremely skilled player offensively, and he has a level of versatility that will make him difficult to scout and game plan against. We're excited to add his winning attitude into our program."
Cole Duncan, Freshman, 6'9" Forward, Cowan High School (Muncie)
"Cole was the big man in the middle for the Cowan Blackhawks last season, returning from injury to average 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks per game. Cole is a legitimate 6'9", and you can't find that size at our level too often, but he's more than just that - he has great hands and a soft touch around the rim, as well. He will patrol the paint for us on both ends the next four years."
Josiah Marshall, Freshman, 6'3" Wing, Wayne High School (Huber Heights, Ohio)
"Josiah was a member of the Wayne Warriors this past season, one of the best high school programs in all of Ohio. Our staff saw Josiah for the first time at an AAU tournament last summer, and immediately fell in love with him. He's got great athletic ability at 6'3", and has some significant perimeter skill to match. You may also catch Josiah on the track team in the spring."
Jacob Scruggs, Freshman, 6'0" Guard, South Decatur High School (Greensburg)
"Jacob was a big-time player for the South Decatur Cougars this past season, ranking as one of the state's leaders in points per game and steals per game. He has some dynamic ability at the guard position, combining some high skill level with sneaky athletic ability. Jacob is well-regarded as a very hard worker, and we're excited to bring that work ethic into our program."
Nolan Swan, Freshman, 6'1" Guard, Tipton High School
"Nolan wrapped up an incredibly successful career with the Tipton Blue Devils. Nolan had to have been a top-five best shooter in the state this past season, but his game consists of much more than just that. He has a high basketball-IQ, and has worked hard to improve his off-the-dribble game, as well. Nolan is also a skilled golfer, and may utilize his talents on Coach Knight's golf team in the spring."
Connor Todhunter-Dawson, Freshman, 6'4" Wing, Faith Christian School (Lafayette)
"Connor led the Faith Christian Eagles to a season in which they recorded their most wins in more than a decade. He's a physically imposing 6'4" wing with a college-ready body. Connor's best basketball is ahead of him, as he picked up the sport later than most do, which makes his shooting ability and skill level even more impressive. Connor is also a fantastic rebounder at his size."
