Hosier Selected as HCAC Athlete of the Week
Anderson University women’s tennis junior Gabby Hosier has been selected as the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Athlete of the Week, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Hosier earned her second career conference athlete-of-the-week selection of her career and her first selection this season.
Capital University (5-4) edged Anderson (3-6, 1-0) in non-conference play 4-3 on Saturday at the Community Sport & Wellness Center in Pendleton. The Ravens then cruised past Berea College (0-1, 0-1) with a 7-0 HCAC victory on Sunday at the Community Sport & Wellness Center.
Hosier put together a combined 3-0 record as Anderson went 1-1 on the week. Ella Maiden/Hosier and took a 6-2 victory at No. 3 Doubles against Capital's Ashlyn Edwards/Jenny Rollins. Hosier then battled to a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 3 singles against Capital's Annika Hansen. On Sunday, Hosier partnered with Isabella Patterson to claim a 6-1 victory at No. 1 doubles against Berea's Odre Uwimana/Diliara Garcia. Hosier received a win by default at No. 4 singles.
Anderson clashes with Earlham College (5-0, 0-0) in HCAC action on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Community Sport & Wellness Center.
