Long Selected as HCAC Athlete of the Week
Anderson University women’s tennis standout Megan Long (New Palestine, Ind. / New Palestine) was selected as the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Athlete of the Week, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Long was named HCAC Athlete of the Week for the second time in her career.
Anderson (6-4, 2-1) went 2-0 on the week. The Ravens took down Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (2-4, 2-2) in HCAC action with a 7-2 victory on Thursday in Terre Haute. Anderson then recorded an 8-1 win against Albion College (0-2) on Saturday in Albion, Mich.
Long finished 4-0 on the week, going 2-0 at No. 2 singles and 2-0 at No. 2 doubles. At No. 2 doubles, Long and Madelyn Brown (Sellersburg, Ind. / Christian Academy of Indiana) locked up an 8-4 win against Rose-Hulman's Ella Dorfmueller/Krista Manche. Long then recorded a 6-3, 6-0 win against Dorfmueller at No. 2 singles. Against Albion, Long/Brown opened Saturday with an 8-1 victory against Saige Jost/Josie Dunn at No. 2 doubles. Long then took a 6-2, 6-0 win against Katie Valade at No. 2 singles.
The Ravens clash with Manchester University (0-9, 0-4) in HCAC action on Wednesday at 4 p.m. in North Manchester.
