The Anderson University men's swimming and diving team put together a split during Friday's Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) double dual at Bennett Natatorium.
Anderson (1-1, 1-1) cruised past Hanover College (0-2, 0-2) by a score of 118-24. Manchester University (2-0, 2-0) topped Anderson 132-76.
"Our seniors provided good competitive leadership," Coach Nathan Manley said. "Reid Haney won both his individual events and Noah Singleton and Morgan Ferguson won events and are already swimming in mid-season form. It's good for our new swimmers to see how they approach their business even when we're tired from training and midterms. It was a lot of fun to see a diver on the board again. We've had some really good divers in the past and I think Lindsey Pickering will be adding to that tradition by the end of the season. Last year Raven swimmers broke 16 school records over the season. Morgan and Noah both broke the 100 IM records tonight so hopefully we're on our way toward another year of raising the bar for our young program."
