Anderson Volleyball Names Team Award Winners for 2019 Season

The Anderson University volleyball team named its team award winners during last Friday's team banquet.
 
Brooke Troyer was selected as the team MVP and honorary captain. The sophomore libero from Elkhart scattered 5.02 digs per set.
 
Ashlyn Transier was named the team's most improved player. The middle hitter from Swayzee recorded 1.71 kills per set and 0.64 blocks per set.
 
Lydia Hillebrand was the recipient of the Raven Award. The Ravens Award is an honor that embodies a positive attitude, great work ethic and supportiveness for teammates.
 
Players were also recognized for their Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) honors. Olivia Rice and Felicity Bontrager were both named all-HCAC Honorable Mention. Emily Hale was tabbed as Anderson's recipient of the Christopher M. Ragsdale HCAC Sportmanship Award. The Ravens also had Bontrager, Alexis Sorrell, Troyer and Abby White collect Tom Bolshen all-HCAC academic honors.
