Waller-Thomas Breaks School Weight Throw Record in DePauw Indoor Invitational
Anderson University women's track and field freshman Lai'Lonie Waller-Thomas broke the weight throw school record with a mark 16.27 meters (53 feet, 4.5 inches) during Saturday's DePauw Indoor Invitational in Greencastle.
Anderson University women's track and field freshman Lai'Lonie Waller-Thomas broke the weight throw school record with a mark 16.27 meters (53 feet, 4.5 inches) during Saturday's DePauw Indoor Invitational in Greencastle.
Waller-Thomas captured first place in the weight throw. Her performance ranks first in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC), fourth in the Great Lakes Region and 35th in NCAA Division-III.
Anderson secured eighth in the team standings. Waller-Thomas was named the Anderson XCTF Performer of the Meet.

We're getting better each week. A lot of good things are happening. We still haven't put everything together, but it's improving. That's all I can ask for. It's a lot of fun watching our team grow and become more competitive. Good things are ahead.
