Taylor Cool enters the 2026-27 season in his first year as an Anderson University women's soccer assistant coach.

Cool joins Anderson from Trine University, where he served as lead assistant coach under USL League One professional coach Mike Avery. Cool played a key role in the most successful season in Trine men’s soccer history, helping lead the Thunder to their first MIAA regular-season championship in 2024. Trine also advanced to the MIAA Conference Tournament championship match. Known for his emphasis on player development, Cool helped produce a program-record six All-Conference selections during the season.

Prior to Trine, Cool served as head coach at the University of Maine at Fort Kent during the 2023 season. He led the Bengals to an 8-4-1 record and a run to the USCAA National Semifinals, finishing the year ranked No. 3 nationally. Under his leadership, UMFK was ranked No. 1 in the country for six consecutive weeks. Cool guided the program to four All-American selections in his lone season, while the Bengals led the USCAA in goals per game and shots per game. He also coached DeAndre Smith, who earned a call-up to his Grenadian senior national team’s 2026 World Cup Qualifier camp.

Cool brings seven seasons of collegiate coaching experience, including two seasons as a head coach, along with eight additional years at the high school and club levels. His most recent high school season concluded with an undefeated conference championship, further highlighting his ability to build winning programs and develop talent at multiple levels.
