Foster, Mercer Headline Raven Team of the Week (9/5/2025)

Anderson University women's soccer senior Meghan Foster has been named the Raven Female Athlete of the Week while Anderson men's golf sophomore John Mercer has been named the Raven Male Athlete of the Week.

Meghan Foster (Women's Soccer; Senior Defender; Springfield, Ohio/Catholic Central)

Women's Soccer (2-0) cruised past The University of Olivet (1-2) with a 3-0 victory on Sunday in Olivet, Mich. Foster started on the defensive line, which held Olivet to one shot and zero shots on goal. The senior from Springfield, Ohio led the Ravens with a team-high 12 tackles. Anderson goes head-to-head with Huntington University (2-1) during Family Day on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Fridley Field.

John Mercer (Men's Golf; Sophomore; Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian)

Men's Golf tied for 13th place in the two-day Transylvania Fall Invitational, which concluded on Sunday in Lexington, Ky. Mercer captured 19th place with a 54-hole score of 222. The sophomore from Indianapolis fired rounds of 74, 73 and 75 on the par-72 layout at the University Club of Kentucky. Mercer set a 54-hole relative-to-par personal record of +6 and a 36-hole relative-to-par personal record of +3. Anderson battles in the Ken Venturi Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at Zollner Golf Course in Angola.
