Paarlberg Tabbed HCAC Defensive Player of the Week
Anderson University women’s soccer standout Emmalee Paarlberg (Franklin, Ohio / Homeschool) was tabbed Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Defensive Player of the Week, which was announced by the conference on Tuesday.

The Ravens (4-5-2, 3-0-1) went 1-0-1 in HCAC action last week. Anderson smashed Earlham College (1-9, 0-4) with a 4-0 victory on Wednesday. The Ravens then fought to a 1-1 tie with Mount St. Joseph University (5-7-2, 3-0-1) on Saturday.
Paarlberg saved 10 of the 11 shots she faced on the week. The sophomore from Franklin, Ohio spent 155 minutes in goal, closing out with a 0.581 goals against average for the week. Paarlberg started the first half against Earlham and saved both of the shots she faced. During Saturday's tie with Mount St. Joseph, Paarlberg saw nine shots and came up with eight saves during her 110 minutes in goal.
Anderson welcomes Defiance College in HCAC action on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Fridley Field.
