Sweigart Named HCAC Throws Athlete of the Week

Sweigart was selected as the HCAC Throws Athlete of the Week for the first time this season. During his career, Sweigart has received conference weekly accolades three times during the outdoor season and six times during the indoor season.
During last Saturday's Indiana D-III Championships in Greencastle, Sweigart led Anderson with a dominant day in the throws, winning the discus with a personal-record mark of 48.52 meters (159 feet, 2 inches) to rank first in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC). The senior from Alexandria also captured first in the hammer throw at 57.04 meters (187 feet, 2 inches). Sweigart added a second-place finish in the shot put at 15.63 meters (51 feet, 3.5 inches).
Anderson battles in the two-day Little State Championships, which begins on Friday at 4 p.m. in Marion.
