In honor of Senior Week, Anderson University is recognizing the 2020 senior classes for the spring sports. The fourth feature recognizes track and field seniors Casey Bell, Emily Kelley, Amy Leatherman, Kennedy Watters, Kaid Hutchinson, Zharquan White, Alphonso Blackwell, Isaiah Lockhart, Mariah Murray and Ian Leatherman.
Alphonso Blackwell is a member of the football and men’s track and field teams. In football, Blackwell started on the offensive line during his junior and senior seasons. Blackwell contributed to the throws team in track and field.
The Anderson University men’s track and field team put together a 4,000-meter distance medley relay team of Clayton Wilson, Kaid Hutchinson, Kaleb Gucinski and Ian Leatherman, which secured first place with a time of 11 minutes, 9.38 seconds during Saturday’s Fred Wilt Invitational in Kardatzke Wellness Center.
The Anderson University men’s track and field team tuned up for the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Indoor Championships during Saturday’s UIndy Team Invitational in Indianapolis.
