Men’s Cross Country Tallies Eight Season Bests in JennaStrong Fall Classic
The Anderson University men’s cross country team had each of its eight competing runners tally a season best during Friday’s JennaStrong Fall Classic on Friday in Wilmington, Ohio.
The Anderson University men's cross country team had each of its eight competing runners tally a season best during Friday's JennaStrong Fall Classic on Friday in Wilmington, Ohio.
Anderson also put together five personal-record (PR) times. The Ravens claimed 16th place in the team standings.
Johnnie Behrends took 63rd place overall and 62nd in the college division with a PR 8K time of 27 minutes, 34.4 seconds to lead the Ravens. David Stansbury secured 68th overall and 67th in the college division with a season-best time of 27:37.4. Kyle Corbin earned 132nd overall and 126th in the college division with a season-best time of 29:09.9. Cole Koontz captured 134th overall and 128th in the college division with a PR time of 29:14.6. David Lane took 196th overall and 185th in the college division with a season-best time of 31:37.5. Maxwell Cobb locked up 203rd overall and 193rd in the college division with a PR time of 32:03.8. Caleb Savage earned 208th overall and 198th in the college division with a PR time of 32:14.6. Philip Butler finished 217th overall and 205th in the college division with a PR time of 32:57.3 to round out Friday's competitors.
Anderson competes in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championships on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 12 p.m. in Shelbyville at Blue River Memorial Park.
