Anderson University football freshman Jaylen Hayes garnered D3football.com Third-Team All-Region honors, which was announced on Wednesday.
Hayes also received first-team all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) recognition. The defensive lineman from Louisville, Ky. started all 10 games and finished the season with 72 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, 14 quarterback hurries, one forced fumble, 53 tackle-for-loss yards and 22 sack yards. Hayes's 13.5 tackles for loss led the conference for the 2025 season and tied for eighth in Anderson school history. Among HCAC leaders, Hayes ranked first in tackles for loss per game (1.35), eighth in tackles per game (7.2) and T-8 in sacks per game (0.4).
"We are proud of Jaylen; he is very deserving of this recognition," Coach Jonathan Coddington said. "He quickly became known as one of the best pass rushers and run stoppers in our conference and his play is marked by his intense effort and energy. We are excited to see how he continues to build off of this season and become even more dominant in years to come."
