Three Ravens Named HCAC Athlete of the Week
The Anderson University athletes were named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Athletes of the Week, which were announced on Monday and Tuesday.

Men's Track & Field sophomore Josiah Marshall was named HCAC Men's Jumps Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career. Men's Golf senior Luke LeBourdais was selected as the HCAC Athlete of the Week for the second time this season and the second time in his career. Men's Tennis sophomore Pedro Sette was tabbed HCAC Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career.
Anderson men's track and field locked up first place in Saturday's Hanover College Invitational in Hanover. Marshall claimed first in both the long jump (6.51 meters; 21 feet, 4.25 inches) and the triple jump (13.50 meters; 44 feet, 3.5 inches). He currently ranks sixth in the HCAC in the long jump.
Outside of jumps, Marshall contributed to Anderson's 4x100 Relay 'A' Team and 4x400 Relay 'A' Team. Anderson fielded a 4x400 'A' Team of Elijah Stires, Marshall, Johnnie Behrends and Dillon Pratt, which took second with a season-best time of 3 minutes, 43.76 seconds. The Ravens also put together a 4x100 relay team of Myles Davis, Zaire Prioleau, Adam Dunson and Marshall, which secured fifth with a season-best time of 44.96 seconds. Both relays rank fifth in the HCAC.
LeBourdais tied for 45th place with a 36-hole score of 162 (+18) during the Keene Trace Collegiate hosted by NCAA Division I's Morehead State University last Tuesday in Nicholasville, Ky. He competed in a field of 62 individuals, which included 33 NCAA Division I players. LeBourdais carded rounds of 82 (+10) and 80 (+8) on the par-72 layout at Keene Trace Golf Club.
Men's Tennis (7-7, 4-0) collected two HCAC wins at the Community Sport & Wellness Center in Pendleton. The Ravens topped Hanover College (7-6, 3-2) by a score of 6-1 on Saturday and Anderson fought past Earlham College (6-6, 2-1) by a score of 5-2 on Sunday.
Sette went 4-0 overall last week, going 2-0 at No. 1 Doubles and 2-0 at No. 4 Singles. Martin Suarez/Sette fought past Hanover's Jake Fascione/Sebastian Vogel by a score of 7-6 (8-6) at No. 1 Doubles. Sette then battled past Hanover's Chase Richardson 6-4, 6-1 at No. 4 Singles. Suarez/Sette secured a 6-4 win against Earlham's Iwan Wularu/Derek Saha at No. 1 Doubles. Sette then captured a 6-3, 6-3 victory against Earlham's Juan Diego Pachon Hernandez at No. 4 Singles.
Men's Golf battles in the two-site Polar Beaver Invitational. Teams compete in Round 1 on Friday at Hidden Creek Golf Course in Lima, Ohio and battle in Round 2 on Saturday at Colonial Golfers Club in Harrod, Ohio. Track & Field competes in the Huntsman Family Invitational on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Crawfordsville. Men's Tennis returns to action on Saturday, April 11 with an HCAC matchup with Manchester University (1-11, 0-2) at 11 a.m. in North Manchester.
