Marshall Wins Triple Jump in Hillsdale Last Chance

Marshall also recorded a mark of 6.48 meters (21 feet, 3.25 inches) in the long jump. In the throws, Michael Sweigart placed fourth in the shot put with a distance of 15.05 meters (49 feet, 4.5 inches) and added a sixth-place finish in the elite flight of the hammer throw at 53.92 meters (176 feet, 11 inches). The senior from Alexandria also posted a mark of 42.93 meters (140 feet, 10 inches) in the discus.
DaeQuan Viverette recorded a personal-record (PR) throw of 43.11 meters (141 feet, 5 inches) to place fifth in the discus. Qi'yam Simmons added marks of 13.71 meters (44 feet, 11.75 inches) in the shot put and 37.36 meters (122 feet, 7 inches) in the discus, while Isaiah Buchanan posted a throw of 50.62 meters (166 feet, 1 inch) in the hammer.
On the women's side, Lai'Lonie Waller-Thomas recorded a mark of 39.41 meters (129 feet, 3 inches) in the hammer and added a throw of 29.47 meters (96 feet, 8 inches) in the discus.
Anderson battles in the Augustana Penultimate Qualifier on Friday at 3 p.m. ET in Rock Island, Ill.
