Ravens Go 2-0 in Manchester Invitational Exhibitions

The Anderson University volleyball won exhibitions against Terra State Community College and Ancilla College in Day 2 of the Manchester Invitational on Saturday in North Manchester.
 
Anderson swept Terra State 25-22, 25-22, 25-17. The Ravens then topped Ancilla in four sets with a 23-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-14 victory.
 
ANDERSON 3, TERRA STATE 0
Ashlyn Transier (Swayzee, Ind./Oak Hill) led the Ravens with eight kills and a .500 attack percentage. Emily Hale (Daleville, Ind./Wes-Del) recorded six kills. Kaycie Gates (Newburgh, Ind./Castle) dished out 10 assists and Brooke Troyer (Elkhart, Ind./Elkhart Memorial) collected seven digs. Felicity Bontrager (Goshen, Ind./Fairfield) notched three service aces and three blocks.
 
ANDERSON 3, ANCILLA 1
Bontrager led the Ravens with 14 kills. Taylor Lawson (New Palestine, Ind./New Palestine) turned in 11 kills and a .333 attack percentage. Transier recorded 11 kills and four blocks. Hannah Rady (Cloverdale, Ind./Cloverdale) racked up 38 assists and also provided three aces. Katie Shadoan (Anderson, Ind./Frankton) scattered a team-high 19 digs. Makayla Alberts and Bontrager tallied 14 digs and 10 digs respectively.

The Ravens (5-10) welcome Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (4-8) next Wednesday at 7 p.m. at O.C. Lewis Gymnasium.
